Now someone see if they can find me a oem trunk spoiler for my IPL. Shops talking 4-500 hundred before taxes and fees to repaint mine. Maaco said $300. $250 if I take it off and bring it to them. Would y'all do it?

What paint code?
Considering that new, OEM PAINTED, spoilers, from Japan, will run between $450-625. not including international shipping, getting yours repainted for $300 might be your only logical option. Finding NOS spoilers here in the US is slim-to-none at this point for these 10+ year-old cars...

GAC, Malbec Black. Maaco said $300 but would need the car for about 3 to 5 days. $250 if I bring the spoiler to them. Don't know how hard it would be to take off and put on again though.
The hardest part would be the two (2) grommets on each outer end of the spoiler. These "click" and lock into place. You should be able to access them from underneath and release the lock tabs. Then, remove the three (3) nuts and it should lift right off (disconnecting the wiring harnesses, of course).
From the Japanese catalog:
the cheapest I found was $460 (not including Int'l. shipping). I also found this used GAC spoiler on eBay for $200. OBO which might be in better condition than what you have, IDK.
Hope some of this helps...
Ok, back to original topic...

K6030-JL32C is the correct part number. My spoilers clear coat came off on the top and just needs to be repainted. Saw the one on Ebay but mine is in better condition than that.

How bad does it look? Could you wet sand the clearcoat (gentle, high grit), polish then apply clear PPF?
I applied PPF to my hood 60K miles after I should have and it's tough to find the little rock chips that used to bug me. It hides alot of small imperfections.
I'm actually wondering how tough that Malbec is to colormatch.

The entire clear coating is gone on top. Short version is it was at the dealer for a month last year while I was waiting for my transmission to get fixed. I assume it was parked under a tree and someone tried to buff out the sap and didn't know what they were doing. It wasn't this bad when I noticed a day or 2 after getting it back. I didn't say anything because they had my car for a month without giving me a loaner so i racked up almost $900 in rental fees. I just wanted my car back and when I got the bill it was $500 lower than what they told me it would be. I thought the spoiler, since it's so small, might only cost a couple hundred to get fixed. I was wrong of course. Excuse the dirty car. The trunk isn't faded.
That definitely looks like it needs to be repainted. Did you call a few smaller shops? The problem with most shops is that they prefer doing insurance work, so they will quote high because they really don't want to mess with a small job.

An Infiniti certified body shop said $500, another said $420, another said $427, another said over $700, and Maaco said $300 or $250 if I take it off myself and put it back on myself. Was leaning towards that so I can still drive the car cause they would have to keep my car for at least 2 days. Don't know of any "smaller" paint shops near me unfortunatly.
