Looking for a bit of advice. I'm finally (I think) ready to let go of my 2009 Infiniti G37x coupe. It has 125k on the clock, premium/navigation package with the studio on wheels system, backlit door jam plates with the Infiniti logo. I really don't want to part with it, but I don't have time time to dedicate to working on it, as it likely needs a new motor, sounds like rod bearing failure.
I have someone interested in the vehicle, just wondering what you all think is a fair price, as is. I'm seeing them for $10-15k with similar miles. I was considering asking for $5k as is. Thoughts?

That's tough and unfortunate.
Engine failure can knock quite a bit the value of these cars, especially when they're X.
X means your average folk will probably have a hard time swapping engines by themselves.
Unless they can get the car for cheap. Though $5k is fair for the condition, the fact that it will be at least a $2k minimum fix on top of that might discourage some folks.
Why not fix/swap the engine, if so you have an actual chance of getting that actual value that they go for, a newer motor means no gallery gasket worry that some folks will try to use to bring the price down since it's an 09.
It is a possibility your rod failure came from a broken gallery gasket

Thanks @BULL. Knock... Pun intended lol.
That has been what is discouraging me. I would want to do the work myself, but once I start I'm going to want to replace everything, and keep it for myself. It's just a matter of not being able to set aside the time to do so, and other than a buddy of mine and myself, I don't know anyone else in the area that I would trust.
This is the first time I'm hearing about the gallery gasket issue, and here I thought I knew a decent amount about this car. Guess I should have visited the forums more often.
Is there a list of newer motors that will fit in the 37x thats readily available? I'm over here looking at stroked Vq's and I know I shouldn't be haha.
