Painting Interior Trim

I’m looking to paint the dash and door trim pieces on my g37 coupe, just wondering if anyone has experience doing this and how hard or necessary it is to remove that brushed aluminum stuff on the surface. Anyway thanks for any help given.

Just wrap it tbh. I did it gloss black then switched it to a matte black. There is videos on how to remove it. It’s pretty easy.

Lol, I knew that was response I was gonna get, I’ve never been a huge fan of any interior pieces I’ve seen wrapped seems like it never sticks perfectly around small pieces

If you do paint it, I would say do a good amount of clear coat, sand it down with 2000 grid, and polish. It will give it a better finish. But honestly, I use 3M vinyl and it has been holding up really well for a year and a half. The corners of the pieces are a bit tricky especially it being my first time, but with some practice, it turned out pretty good. Also, 3M is really sticky compared to other brands that I have used.
