hahaha some vendors say it’s fabrication time but I don’t believe it either. As the consumer I want it ASAP lol.

What do you mean by your last sentence:“Something about that model just leaves a lot hanging out?”

You’re going to love the sway bars. Hotchkis are great as they are super thick. Are you going to install both or one side at a time? I’m currently running rear upgraded only front stock.

Oh that was in reference to the business model they have of taking money and sending out the product months later.

I will do the front for sure to help with... (wait what would the fronts help with? lol). I might hold off on the rear since if it's too stiff, it makes it harder to turn the wheel when driving around the city (not as agile). I found that contrary to popular belief, stiffer sway bars aren't 'better' in every single application.

And I don't plan to track my car. I'm just beefing it up to make it feel really solid

Bigger/stiffer FRONT suspension (spring/sway bar) will give you more understeer.

Bigger/stiffer REAR suspension (spring/sway bar) will give you more oversteer.

I like more oversteer, but it all depends on your driving style.

IMHO, our cars are wheel wheel drive, so you should be more used to the sensation of oversteer (the rear wheels pushing the car through a turn vs. the front wheels pulling the car through the turn in the case a front wheel drive vehicle.)

adding to the understeer if you don’t know what it is might throw off the sensation you are used to, but I guess it depends on your traction sensing abilities etc.

I would dial in oversteer first to a level you are comfortable with and then use the front sway bar to dial it back a smidge. But I’m running a bunch of stupid things that make my coupe less of a daily driver so listen to what your gut tells you.

Feeling solid to me means less body roll or chassis flexing. If you want to do that without affecting steering, focus on the chassis bracing, chassis welding, roll cage, etc. anything that ties points of the chassis together or makes it more solid.

Sway bars will affect your steering more dramatically than bracing as you increase understeer and oversteer.

Mine is the qx50 that has an extra 3 in space between the wheels compared to the G37 sedan. So it's a long car lol.

The factory wheels that came with it were 8 inches wide with +47 offset, on 245/45/19 tires. The rear also had a skinny sway bar (front is the same thickness as the G coupe S). When I put the thicker G coupe S sway bar on the rear, I notice that around town it takes more effort to turn the steering wheel/turn the car at low speeds. I'm guessing that thicker sway bars provide oversteer at certain speeds, but at low speeds, the needed swaying of the vehicle helps add weight to the outer wheel and gives it more turning power.

I agree, longer wheel base probably has a lot to do with it

I have all the under braces that will fit ( mines rear wheel steer) so all the rear diff ones won’t fit but I do also have the Cusco tower brace and rear tower stiffener brace along with front and rear Hotchkis sway bars and compared to my sons G37S my car is night day stiffer and more responsive through corners . They do add up fast cost wise and they do come with some collateral noise when driving over bumpy roads but there is always a trade off anytime we modify our cars but in my opinion they do help quite a bit with overall chassis stiffness and feel

All the braces I’ve seen all specify RWD models only, anyone have confirmation which if any fit AWD?

I don't 14Q60, but I will say that I took the big front X brace off my G37x because it was rusting so badly (they all seem to do this). The difference is rigidity was something I noticed quite a bit.

(Shop had to weld a nut onto one of the bolts as the edges had rusted away; the rest of the brace had rust holes on the top)

I got a new one, noticed it already had some rust starting in the corners so I sprayed the hell out of it, inside and out, with multipole primer layers, the bolts too, and put it back on. I sure noticed the difference. I also added a front tower brace later, they are cheap, and noticed a bit quicker turn in, that's worth it IMO.

Did you pull the proverbial trigger? I am debating about these as well, especially the tie bar and front fender braces.
