Just curious if anyone has installed these on their coupe I’m thinking of putting oil side skirts on mine but I also think these look good but have only heard bad things of duraflex parts. If anyone has pictures and experience with them please them
Just had damage done to one of my side skirts when being towed and I started looking heavily into new ones as I figured I'd be stuck having to fix it(was going to get these exact ones oddly enough lol). In my research the duraflex parts can be a gamble. Saw many videos where people installed it themselves and it definitely had a cheap body kit look to it. BUT I saw some videos of people that had a body shop put it all on for them and it looked half decent. So I think it boils down to having it professionally installed or installing yourself. A body shop will have all the right tools for heating, re-shaping, shaving, filling, and painting the parts.
I’m debating on this or ipl side skirts but I’m planning on keeping my base rear bumper and putting a cf diffuser on it, just thinking the duraflex will go with the base rear bumper better
I just want something that’ll flow well with the base rear bumper I noticed guys that are running the ipl side skirts have those corner cover things on the bumper and I don’t like the way it looks
Duraflex in my experience is garbage. I ordered a set of their TS Replicas. I didn't like them at all. They were the wrong length and would've needed more fiberglass added to them. They were malformed and had no holes for mounting. They could've been worked on but would've took some substantial time for the body shop to get them prepared for mounting/painting and then we'd had to figure out hardware. I told Duraflex I didn't want the side skirts because they weren't direct bolt-on as advertised. Duraflex gave me my money back......after I sent pictures of the side skirts destroyed. They didn't even want their own product back!!! If nothing else, that was a huge indicator of the low value they had in their own stuff. After that I said I'd never order from them again.

Good to hear from someone who's had some personal experience. Saw a lot of videos of people having to drill their own holes to get them on. Thats why I'm suggesting not to do it at all if you aren't planning on having a professional body shop install that can deal with the warping, lack of holes for installation and such. InitialC saw your post about Selene, sorry for your loss bro ☹ saw you picked up a new G already! Way to stay loyal my friend! Guessing this means you aren't parting out anything from the wreck?
So I was in need of a new bumper and after a quick google search I found a Duraflex IPL concept front bumper and I loved it but I didn't know much from the brand. After a few more searches on the google I have heard mixed reviews. I was going to cough up the $400 for the front bumper and see where things went. I was getting paid the next day so I said as soon as I get paid I'm buying them. I don't know why or what made me look on craigslist for front bumpers and I found the Duraflex IPL Body Kit for sale for only $200!! So I instantly messaged the guy and went to go buy them. They do feel a little flimsy but they actually fit up really good (no holes are drilled yet, waiting on headlights and fender to come in first) I want to drill out the holes and install it myself to the best of my ability and then I am taking it to a local shop to have them color match them to my car. Once everything is done ill make a better detailed post of my experience with this body kit.
I would possibly leave the install to the body shop since I want to get the whole car painted in the spring, they’re so cheap I might just order them and decide if I like them
Duraflex is very clear in the descriptions of all their parts that you'll probably have to do some sanding/reshaping to get them to fit properly. So if you don't do any of that, sure it's probably not going to look 100%. That's why it usually looks better professionally done because as it's been mentioned already, they have all the proper tools to make it fit properly.
