Help with aftermarket stereo installation for 2008 g37s

So I recently got a 2008 g37s w/Nav, I’ve looked up some forums but couldn’t really find anything for a good aftermarket stereo, one that preferably keeps the look of the dash without it being too tacky.

I’ve read a couple articles about a JDM one that looks like OEM but I could only find them available for the g35, I’m hoping to get some help on what would be the best route for an aftermarket stereo.

My final choice is to just pull the trigger and buy the Tesla style screen, I don’t have any problems with it I just prefer to keep more of an OEM look, thanks in advance!

What are your goals? Is it better audio quality or some type of features? There is a [dash kit](https://www.carid.com/infiniti-g37-s...gaAoiyEALw_wcB) but it may be buggy and not work right, I have no clue. I've heard very mixed things(mostly 'good enough' rating) about the Tesla radio too; personally I'm not a big fan of the looks either but to each there own.

If your goal is a better sounding system that's very easy to do with the bose if you're comfortable splicing a couple wires.

A couple companies make a CarPlay/Android auto module now that you can add to the factory system.

The problem with changing out the infotainment is you will no longer be able to view your climate control settings. Only workarounds I know of are getting one of the plug and play systems like what jpower said. Grom Audio's VLine kit is apparently pretty good but expensive. Other option if your tech savvy is to get the stock display working with a rasberry pi, someone made a thread about it on here and got android auto on his G has a short install guide for it

Why replace the head unit? The signals from the Infiniti head unit are line level, clean and accurate. Besides, the head unit is so integral to the car its a nightmare to replace it without investing a lot of blood, sweat tears and money
