Hi all, I’ve been having an issue in the rain and my guess it has to do with my vented aftermarket hood and my Injen cold air intake. Everytime it rains hard my car jerks aggressively when I’m on throttle whether it’s going slow or highway speeds. I already have a hydro shield cover on my intake so idk how I can go about this. Maybe my MAF sensor on my intakes is causing it? And if it is an electrical component getting wet can I put electrical tape around it so it doesn’t get wet?
Vents on the hood also covered? My buddies Audi S4 throws a fit unless he uses the covers in the rain.
If it's electrical, the part/wires/connections should ve reinsulated with shrink tubing or tape. Regular old electrical tape will do the job but will fail quickly in a hot engine bay.
