where I will find springs for OEM IPL

Hi everyone. I am new here and I am looking for information on springs dedicated to OEM G37 IPL shock absorbers. I would like to lower my IPL by about 30mm from the original. Where can I find IPL springs?

Either throw some swift or eibach springs on or get coilovers. Nothing special about the IPL versus a regular coupe as far as suspension goes.

I'm on the same boat, bought tragically low and scraping IPL with cut springs, what would be the equivalent to IPL springs and shocks?

IPL springs are same as any other coupe. Buy some Swift or eibach if you want a baby drop. Buy some Coilovers if you wanna do it right. Got to junk yard find any coupe springs to go back to stock.

Oh man thank you! I wasn't sure what springs the IPL OEM was supposed to have, I have read it had the same springs and other places made it seem like it was NISMO type. Thanks for the suggestions, definitely going to look into coil over to do it right.

If you wanna spend, go KW (1500). If you have wanna go cheaper go BC (1000). All other coilovers are trash imo (emphasis on imo). If you wanna go cheaper you can probably go Swift or eibach with new struts for 700 maybe? That will be a nice ride, you just won’t be able to dial in the exact height you want.

regardless of which you choose. You must get SPC camber kit (650) and figure 500 for install. Seriously, don’t drop your IPL without camber kit. You’ll just end up getting it later and have to install twice.

I’m betting they aren’t cut. My money is some shltty tein springs or something. If it was 07 journey with 188k maybe I could see some kid cut the springs, but not an IPL. Def not an IPL.

sobeIPL, thanks for the suggestions, thanks again big time, this car is driving me nuts, I had a paper bag get stuck just driving on a flat street. LoL Story is I've been searching for a 6MT IPL for years, could only find the 7A. Lucky or unlucky my 04 G35 died with 209,000ish miles, RIP, then this showed up! I blindly just said, here's my money, giveeeee meeee IPL. Guy had a heavy stereo sspeakers in the trunk, disgusting "carbon fiber" interior wasn't even nice you could tell it was plastic right away. Then without asking he took off the damn rear badges, I was like bro WTF man, I got a "discount" but now I'm looking to rebadge it to stock, that's an other problem. The only smart thing I did was search the internet for "FAKE" IPL and what the exhaust system should look like, and carfax'd it, it checked out. So far I'm enjoying it, made sure the seats are real, and VIN check was getting me upset it would not tell me the color, had to go Infiniti dealer they said color was Malbec Black or Obsidian Black!? LoL. I checked every door jam and odd corner I could looks legit, engine bay had the IPL cover also.

Yea it’s called Malbec black. It should look crazy purple in the sun. If not then it’s been repainted a different shade of black. The IPL Malbec black is very distinguishable.

Oh, and we all can’t be fortunate enough to have a 6MT IPL 😎.

Hey for what it is worth, if anyone is interested, I have an extra set of IPL suspension that I bought off a friend who did coil overs all around. i kept them as spares for my IPL but with less than 50,000 miles I cant see myself needing them, especially since I am looking at selling my IPL soon. Feel free to PM me if you are interested.

Actually the IPL spring rates are 20 percent stiffer up front and 10 percent stiffer in the rear compared to the regular coupes, with shocks to match.

What I will tell you is that the IPL uses oem shocks that have very little travel so you'll probably be riding the bump stops a lot if you use lowering springs. The black is the front oem and the blue is Tokico. The wheel gap is the same when they're on the car.
