Another Project Car Thread

Probably just another project thread on here. But wanted to start a new one to answer any questions and see if anyone can answer mine. Bought this for cheap and decided to turn it into a daily driver/weekend track car. Had to weld new frame horns on and replace pretty much the entire front end. I am pretty much down to the end so now its time to start putting in the fun parts.

Does anyone know for a fact that aftermarket 370z coil overs will fit on a RWD G37s Coupe?

RWD G37 uses exact same suspension as the Z.

I'm sure they'll physically fit but 99 percent of the time you'll see suspension parts listed separately for each platform because the Z weighs a few hundred pounds less than the G. So to be on the safe side just get whats recommended for your car.

They will fit. My Tein coilovers' box has 370z and G37 on it, just checked.

Your 99% figure is grossly wrong. I'm lucky if the G is listed separately half the time for the suspension stuff for which I surf.

Installed some BC racing coil overs from a 370z and the fit well, the only problem was that the stock rear shock absorbers have a nut welded to them and the coil overs do not. On to the next project is to install some new seats. Has anyone had any luck with finding aftermarket seat brackets? I can not seem to find them anywhere.

What seats are you trying to run? Do you need bottom mount or side mount? I've gone directly through the seat manufacturer a few times with decent luck, though I haven't tried with the G.

I got the seats, side mounts, and sliders. What I need are the floor brackets for the sliders to mount to. I actually reached out to Planted Technology the other day to see if the 1st Gen Q60 floor brackets would fit the G37. (Because they only show brackets for the G35 and Q60). They said they would so I ordered them and will findout.

Ah okay - I was going to suggest Planted in that case. I think those brackets will work for you. I've gotten them in the past for my 240sx. They also sit lower than most others, which helps with head/helmet clearance.

So its been a while since I have posted on here but since my last post all I have really done is got the seats and harnesses in and set up the hydro brake. The next part of this project I will be starting on Sunday is doing a manual transmission swap. Ill post some photos of it and might just make a video out of it. Should be a fun time!
