Recently bought a 2011 G37...some problems
Hey guys, I recently bought a 2011 G37x Coupe, and it's got a couple problems.
All of the buttons on the center control panel and the audio/ climate control panel work, however, some of them do not become backlit when the lights are turned on. When I bought the car from the previous owner, he opened the hood with ease, though now when I try, the hood doesn't seem to open. The heated seat lights also don't turn on. When I tried to turn off the heated seats, it didn't seem to make a difference. The seats fluctuated from warm to cool.
I've searched through the forums and some say it may be a fuse problem, though they are all okay. I was wondering if I could get some feedback as to what some underlying problems for this may be?
Other than these problems, the car works wonderfully mechanically. Thanks!

Have someone push down the hood while you release the latch.
No idea, but hopefully the lights on the HVAC panel can be replaced. My wife's Chrysler had to replace the whole unit as the bulbs were soldered in.
maybe you'll have to pull the console, check the wiring as aforementioned, and see if you're getting voltage to those sweat switches.

I have to spray my hood latches with some silicone lube from time to time. Otherwise it seems to dry up and then the latch will start to stick. Give that a shot.
Once the latch starts to stick it becomes a 2 person job to open the hood as posted above
