But yeah whenever we go through a drive through or something we pull down the rear cupholders. She also loves this cause it defiantly controls how I drive.... WOT and the cups coming out.... Brake to hard the cups coming out corner to fast the cups coming out... LOL

We use 16oz Contigos, they do fit side-by-side in the coupe cupholder. Also have a Starbucks SS, prob 16oz that could definitely fit 2.
Even though these fit, if I take corners too aggressively they will tip over.
Our vanpool van has cupholder shortcomings also, so mugs that don't fit in my coupe also don't fit in our vanpool cupholders.
My 2014 coupe also has holders in the doors, I've use those when we take extra drinks.

I've recently joined the G37 club (just bought a used 2018 G37x). So far, the only big misgiving is the location of the cup holder in the center console. The cup holder doesn't hold anything steady, and if there is a cup in the right hole, you have to hold your arm at an uncomfortable position to use the shifter.
Based on the responses I see in this thread, nobody has any clever ways of dealing with this, huh?

Check out this cup holder.

In context:
My pic is top-right. The one I'm using the most presently is the Custom Accessories 91125 black seat wedge. It holds my tall drink container steadier than the other one that's laying on the seat. I'm using the Heininger 1072 cell-cup to hold odds and ends and they don't get in the way of my arm. The other cell-cup (from the 2 pack) is being used to keep the seat wedge level since the gap between the console and the seat is a bit wider than this was designed for.
