damn so ipl brand is no more?
The RS is far from a joke if you're comparing it the the IPL....Telling me a step backwards is going from a bodykit to a TT 400HP monster ? Are we kidding? First, we're upset the IPL had no ***** and now we're upset the RS has huge ***** but doesn't manscape enough for you?
Ghosn leaving was the best thing that could have happened to Infiniti; especially if they want to pursue performance ( See. Eau rouge). You can also thank him for the Q brand, losing the "G" designator to Hyundai, and the soulless new lineup we now have. Unless stepping into an RS, I've yet to see one person enthused about the Q brand and if you read any post about people's next car, it's rarely even mentioned as competitor because there's nothing about the Q that appeals to them. It's pretty sad seeing Nissan and Infiniti enthusiasts who have owned model year after model year of Maximas, Altimas, G35s, G37s, etc... Not even giving the Q a glance despite being a new model.
Carlos seems great at mass producing a vehicle people will buy and nothing else. He's also a big EV advocate so you can thank him for the failed abortion known as the Leaf as well. Let's be real, he did more to help Nissan than he did helping Infiniti. Why do you think he's now running Mitsubishi trying to save that dumpster fire?
Saikawa-san has been with Nissan since the 70's. Hopefully he can re-create some magic.

i believe both bmw and benz now offer a m package and amg package which consists of the bodykit from the m trims and amg package is kit and wheels. infiniti will offer this as well in 20 years i believe. i envy the bmw m package bumpers. the have so many nice lip addon you can add to it.

Even the RS is bad. Would you want a RS instead of a M2,M3/4,S4,RS3,c45amg? Even a GT350 or a ZL1 is far better imo.
I've owned 1 infiniti and 2 nissans and I'm not being biased.

idk how much control goshn has but infiniti brand has its own ceo. also i recall reading the q naming came from some guy they hired from audi. go figure
"The renaming is Johan de Nysschen’s first big, visible move since taking the CEO spot at Infiniti in July. Lured from Audi, de Nysschen’s charge is to reposition Infiniti from Acura-level purveyor of leathery Nissans to a global luxury brand that can rake in money from beyond the borders of NAFTA. One needn’t squint to see the parallels between Audi’s model names and what de Nysschen just announced for Infiniti."
this is from 2012 idk how much has changed since then

i visited bimmerpost recently and it's popping like it was in 2008. i'm going to say it, bimmerpost was my favorite car forum experience. so incredibly active. i actually made real lifelong friends from that forum and a bunch of us flew to FL for someone's wedding. we all left the board when they banned half of us and banned the lighter side. Fun times.
But I live in southern California and get my share of fake AMG cars.
I'm not going to defend BMW fake M badge people. They're looked down upon in the BMW community too.
so a bmw m fan cant rock a m decal of any sort if their car is not an m? damn u guys harsh. we have nismo stuff we like to rock decals and such. wat can bmw enthusiast rock if not the m stuff? or u talking about a guy putting an m3 emblem on his 328?
^ we just call them badge ******
I think it's somewhat a subjective thing but this is my opinion.
Let's start with this. M3 badge on a 328 is badgewhore and looked down upon.
328 with mtech bumpers. I guess it's cool if they add badge. But most people typically don't.
But if someone has a 328/335 and swap out to quad exhaust, add mtech bumpers, then debadge and add ///M. That's a little debatable. I personally think it's OK as long as they're not impersonating an M3. Nothing wrong with wanting your ride to look super clean.

I think what Kroy is getting at is similar to when you see a V6 mustang rocking 'GT' or a GT with a Termi grill and bumper. In essence, it's trying to be something it isn't. I remember on the Mazda forum when a guy with a NA Mazda 3 sedan put the 'MazdaSpeed' badge on his car and he got scorched for it.
If it's a 65 it would be a first for me and I'd probably burst into confetti

^ Yes. That's exactly it.
No one ever has a problem with people putting "///M Performance" on their machine. It's when you try to play your car off as a way better car, when it isn't; that's when I judge.
Like a regular benz C350 with not even a bodykit puts on a AMG badge.
