Well it time to say good bye, for now, to the infiniti and G family.
beginning of the month i get a tint ticket from the CHP. Then on the 19th i got t boned but some woman in a nissan altima. totally not my fault and i am completely fine.
the autobody shop just called me and said the estimate for the damages is 15k. i am sure my insurance is gonna total it. all my side air bags popped.
So time to move on. i have had 2 infiniti G coupes in a row and i am thinking of getting something in 4 doors, AWD and has a turbo. on the fence between an STI or EVO. Or i might just buy my uncles IS350 for cheap since he doesnt drive it.

You've got a point. I had no frame damage or airbags deployed though. Shop only needed to replaced the door and do a little body work. I also dropped 2k out of pocket for my exhaust already.
I'm surprised your insurance adjuster agreed with the 15k estimate, but hey if they did, I would definitely take the money too lol
ya i had my side air bags go off. it pushed in my floor and ****ed up the panel the door attaches to. so there would be a lot of work to get it fixed. the guy at the auto body shop said if they didnt total it, it would prob take about 4 to 5 weeks to fix. So i would rather my insurance just throw in the towel. but i am kinda sad that i am leaving the infiniti family.
ya i would but i was not completely happy with the 7AT. esp in traffic. it was never in the right gear and wouldnt down shift unless i really got on the throttle. so i am looking at different cars. i am not completely sold on the subaru CVT. i have read some people have some serious problems with it.
but i guess the EVO dual clutch auto can have overheating issues also. so.... my next car also has to be my daily driver. maybe i just buy the IS350 and call it a day. also i have like no time to make a decision, due to my insurance plans rental coverage.
CVTs are awful. The no shifting things is weird as hell and if you thought the 7AT was odd wait till you get in that. Reliability with them isn't too hot either to my knowledge.
EVO SST has been known to grenade. Google search that before committing. Fixing it is hella expensive too. Make sure you have a seasoned mechanic familiar with them in your area.
The IS350 is a solid choice but repairs could be costly. Anyway, post pics of whatever you go with.
