Alumalite is pretty rigid and lightweight. Easy to cut too. Works well for a race car but I think it would look funny as a "cosmetic upgrade" - It has a corrugated plastic center so it looks a little like cardboard.

Seriously though, this is a DIY that actually would serve some functionality and wouldn't break the bank. Is tough as hell, lightweight and would probably get you a couple nods from the track crowd. If it isn't pretty enough, spend the $150 - 190 on glossed material.
Or, you can throw something on that snaps off once you hit 70 mph and get head shakes instead of nods lol.
