Exhaust opinions for my new 2013 Infiniti g37x?

About to purchase my first G37 coupe, 2013 AWD. Any exhaust opinions you guys have for me? Looking for something somewhat deep, nothing raspy. Also not trying to spend very much money. Let me know what you guys have for me!

To save money, if sound is mostly what you care about over performance, you could just do an axle-back. The tanabe medallian is the most popular. Sounds nice and deep; not loud and raspy.Just installed mine and I love it ! If that's out of the budget, you could go something like Megan or Beluga. Cheapest option is probably just doing a muffler delete. Doesn't sound half bad, but lots of drone Ive read.

thanks for the reply boss! I've heard about the tanabe, they sound great- just a little bit too expensive for my liking :/ the beluga/Megan don't seem to run too expensive... if I ended up going with one of those axle backs what else would you recommend to maybe go along with that?

many would tell you that one of, if not the best bang for your buck mod performance-wise, not only for the exhaust but the entire car, is replacing the stock cats with either test pipes or high flow cats. Test pipes are going to be cheaper but louder and raspier, and have more drone than HFC's. And of course they will yield a CEL, unless you go with fast intentions TP's I believe. For this reason, many on here opt to go the HFC route. I am yet to install my fast intentions resonated HFC's. Whichever route you may go, as you seem not to want really loud, you should go resonated as well.

Some to consider are Berk HFC's, Fast intentions RHFC's, Fast intentions RTP's, and Motordyne ART Pipes (Expensive, but really awesome TP's)

I have a 14, and just last year upgraded to the Infiniti Sports Exhaust, which is an axle back. sounds deep at idle, and just amazing when you open the throttle, yet not obnoxiously loud. Certainly louder than stock though, love it. You may want to check your dealer's website since they're generally offering a discount on these.

Go for a Muffler delete. I paid under $300. Best bang for the buck. Make sure its a quality shop that fabricates using quality stainless pipes so it doesnt rot out. Have the shop re-use your factory tips which are decent quality. Appearance wise the car still looks stock. No loss of ground clearance in the back like you can get with some systems. I drive at highway speeds. The Drone is minimal. For the haters on here. In the real world...i get nothing but compliments on the sound quality all the time.

you can get an axleback cheaper than that with no drone.

Looks like I'm gonna go with the Beluga racing Axleback at first... then maybe go up from there. Since I can't post in classifieds yet, if you come across any up for grabs I'd appreciate a PM lol

Not with labor charges. I've seen those cheap $269 axle back, read the reviews.. usually poor quality, doesn't properly line up/fit exact. The guy that did mine said so many customers try to buy these cheap axle backs and he tells them to send it back or tries to fix their poor fitment. I like the stock tips, think they look decent. Drone isn't that bad. I drive highway.. at highway speeds ok to me. Only do the muffler delete at a competent/quality shop.. Those are very hard to find.

Do test pipes or a muffler delete. Don't do both. My setup is currently FI resonated test pipes and a custom muffler delete. Every shift can be heard from two and a half miles away and the cold start will wake your neighbors up. It only sounds great past 4.5k revs. Anything below that sounds obnoxious lol

i did take it to the shop, not because of fitment, but because the factory bolts were seized and i didn't feel like dealing with it. the Beluga fit nicely.

i've had loud cars before - Porsche 928 muffler delete with 3" pipe exiting out a 5" megaphone. fun for a little bit, then gets annoying REAL quick.
