120k miles on car. Worth doing work to it?
120k miles on car. Worth doing work to it?
So I have a 2008 g coupe rwd 6mt. Bought it two years ago this month. 88k miles on it. I spent the first year replacing the clutch and slaves cylinders and bs. Lots of money into fixing that. I currently have test pipes and mid muffler and full straight pipe. Coilovers. And headlight work.
My question is, is it worth it to invest money to make it fast and other stuff like wheels. Is it worth it to make more power on my car that have 120k miles? Or just sell it for a newer one. I only Owe like 9 grand on it. Your input is much appreciated!

It's a good plan to keep it, but keep all your OEM parts so you can revert back to stock when it's time to let it go. You'll almost always get much better returns on your part money if you do a part out on the aftermarket stuff.
Pretty reliable cars.. I drive the hell out of mine. Everytime i start the car i punch it wherever i go lmao.
105k Miles bought brand new since 09.
only things maintenance things needed to change: New clutch since the slave cylinder went out.
-as far as you investing into "power" basic bolt ons with a tune will get you into the 300whp club. Long tube intake stillen gen 3 is what majority go for, Catback exhaust, HFc's and a TUNE.
if you want real power youll have to go Twin turbo... but thats pretty pricey.
-Drive the car hard, put some wheels on it.... itll make the car break necks.
-Exhaust always makes the driving experience more fun.
-Suspension + Sway bars.
Then if that doesnt satisfy you, go TT or v8 lol

Man someone has a nice bank account!!! Post pics of the process...
I probably won't be buying a gtr for a few years. lol. Sucks when insurance is more when you're not 25. I'm only 21. But I really wanna get the ipl front bumper. Carbon hood and duck bill trunk with a carbon diffuser first... Might do all that in the next two months 😂 ugh.
120k is nothing, still a pup! For bolt-ons just do them and tune it. If you want boost, get a compression test and assuming the numbers are consistent, go ahead and replace the water pump, head gaskets and timing chain to be safe and you'll be set for more. If something happens, building a motor is cheaper/similar to replacing it.
I knew that neighborhood looked familiar! I used to live there if it is the same place I think it is (know you are nearby due to the plates). Are you in the Middle Georgia Z/G group? I moved 2 years ago but had a red g37s
