Which muffler gasket??

I'm going to be putting the Sport Accessory axle back muffler on my car soon. Bought it second hand without gaskets.

What should I do for the gaskets? Re-use the OEM ones that are already there? Get new ones? And if I do get new ones, any advice on which ones? Most I'm finding look like they're paper (although tough to tell from pics online).

If you can remove the OEM ones intact you can re-use them. A little High temp Red RTV silicone lightly applied to both sides of the gasket and you should be good to go. And for exhaust fasteners I recommend using copper-based anti seize on the bolt threads.

what are the OEM ones made of? I haven't removed and exhaust from this car yet. Do they typically come off intact?

It may be different on the coupe but my sedan's Y-pipe to mid pipe gasket is made up of thin stacked metal and IIRC the mufflers are clamped around raised flanges for the seal, the OEM gaskets are higher quality seals.

For other exhaust gaskets Z1 carries several sizes and they are very good.
