G35 to G37

I went from a G35 to a G37. Anyone else a little disappointed? Don't get me wrong I love my car, but it just doesn't seem as refined as my 35 was. The exhaust note was a little sweeter, seemed like low down torque was better. The 37 just feels bigger, overweight. The interior is leaps above the 35, but just seems to lack that personality that I felt the 35 had. I'm just curious if anyone else feels this way, interested to see others comments. By the way they are both an s fully loaded.

i love the improvements in the g37. the push start is a a great plus and the door unlock botton. i dont even use the keyfob anymore. so many improvements compared to g35. only thing the g35 had better was the stock exhaust note. they took that away with the g37

I’ve owned both and found the G37 to be far superior. Rather than going through the whole list, just compare trying to find the dip stick on the G35 and you’ll know what I mean.

I went from a g35 to the g37 and I love it in every way. No regrets! The g35 stock exhaust does sound great but the second you drop any exhaust on the g37, it will bring it to life!

I totally agree with the exhaust but, my exhaust compared to my roommates g35 is a complete turn around. I get compliments all the time, people say it sounds like a furious Chewbacca scream lol.. But anyway, going from a 35 to a 37 the interior is leaps ahead. Other than that, I never had any complaints with the G35 to begin with. The 37 to me, was just an updated version of the 35, which in fact, that's all Infiniti had in mind anyway.

Well, I guess I have to give my list. In addition to difficulty in checking oil in the G35 there is:

• Unlike other near-luxury cars, there are no gas struts to raise or hold open the hood, only a pole.
• The nav screen was a cheap pop-up, rather than being integrated into the dash.
• There was little room to operate the seat controls. I had to open the driver’s door to do so.
• In California, at least, automatic seat adjustments were not available.
• There is also seat controls on the right of the seat, also difficult to operate.
• The car was noisy.
• Compared to the G37 it was a rough ride.
• No keyless ignition (at least not in my 2004 coupe).

But it was a nice looking car as the picture of mine shows.

I feel somewhat the same. The seats are way comfier on my G35, acceleration is faster and transmission shift smoother. But aesthetics wise the G37 just looks better in my opinion. I still have my G35 for my daily car and I am planning to use my G37 as my weekender so I still have the best of both.

I didn't own a G35 but just like the 350z, I don't like the interior as much as the G37 I own now. Too much roundness in the dash, orange and black colour scheme seemed dated. Otherwise beautiful cars.

funny, I've started looking for a 35 sedan for a daily. Do agree, the dipstick location was a pain, and the oil seals did suck. Starting to fall for the 37, thinking of making a weekender out of it also. I love Infiniti's. This is my 3rd and my dad is on his 2nd. You just can't beat how much car you get for the money. Thanks for all your inputs.
