Talking Just got a g37xs coupe

Hey guys,
I am completely new to all of this. My previous and first car was a '05 Hyundai santa fe. I just picked up a 2012 g37xs coupe 7AT with 54,000 km on it, and I could not be more excited or happier . I am still trying to get used to actually having power when i want it, and being able to take corners faster than 50km/h (< im Canadian btw lol). Im going to wait 'till atleast the summer to start modifying it. So far my plans are a high flow catalytic converter, a better exhaust system, cold air intake, and tune it. I was just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations or tips for a noob like myself !!

Thanks in advance

I'd do sway bars first, those corners will be so much more fun . Also caution on the high flow cats, with some exhausts it may be too excessive for you. (not sure about your taste)

Highly recommend at least swapping the rear sway to the RWD rear sway. Preferable from an S coupe; I think those have the thickest rear sway

How much would getting new sway bars put in cost? Also what do you mean the high flow cats may be too excessive?

My Hotchkiss sways were around 550 Canadian front and rear. I paid my friend around 100 bucks under the table to install my intake, under shroud and sway bars.

By too excessive, I mean in combination with the exhaust, as it'll make whatever exhaust you choose louder.

Ok thats not too bad! The car handles amazing so far but I haven't really pushed it around any nice windy roads due to the roads being wet or icy. And I love the way the car sounds now I just want it to be a bit louder and more throaty. Basically I want loud but not too loud maybe ill just start with the catalytic converter and go from there?

I'd recommend looking through exhaust videos on youtube for that and attend car meets to hear others exhausts, as in person always sounds different than in person.

with a good exhaust system you'll generally have more control of the loudness throughout the RPM band vs muffler deletes and removing cats. Or at least that's what I've seen or been told. I haven't personally gone that route.

I have good control over the volume until 3500 or so, but my exhaust choice is a bit more on the excessive side when its above that.

Haha you have thee loudest exhaust made for our cars bro! But yes OP, I too would start with a simple axle back. It'll add a nice deep growl and may be exactly what you're after.

Until you haven't gotten SWAY F+R you have no idea what the car is handling like , on stock sways this car decides to go where ever it feels like especially the rear end .... I went Hotchkis paid $700CDN with install and never looked bad the car handles great easily better then the German cars which are even at stock far superior to jap stock car handling

Like I said before I love the way the car handles now - but that being said I haven't really truly tested its handling capability! I'll do that once the summer comes and I get nice summer tires! But for 700$ including install it sounds like it would be a worthwhile investment.. Is that 700$ for Front and Rear or just rear?
