I found a bunch of midnight black grilles on ebay for a fraction of a price of OEM. Does this seem worth it? Will there be any drawbacks going this route? I.e, is the paint more likely to chip or something?

They look fine to me, if anything maybe some minor fitment issues. Honestly anything OEM is expensive due to a gigantic markup. However you do get peace of mind knowing that it will fit, because eBay parts are notorious for lack of quality control.


If you want a midnight grille, I'm sure you can either paint it at a local body shop or vinyl wrap the center pieces to mimic the look of the midnight grille for roughly the same cost.
