IPL Bumper is it worth getting?

Some guy is willing to sell me his IPL front bumper for $350 but it has a crack on the side. Not sure if bumpers are repairable if they have a crack on them. Also if they are how much would it cost to repair it? Would you still take the deal for the bumper?

Hard pass. The cost to fix that and paint will be more than a new one. If your patient and deligent enough you can find on on your local Craigslist ads for cheap. In NYC I normally find used very good to excellent condition IPL bumpers for 500$.

Thanks for the info. He told me some shop would fix that for about $100 but I guess he's just trying to make a quick sale.

No way I would pay 350 for that.

Now if he only wanted a couple hundred, then I might consider.

You can get it painted brand new from Infiniti for around that price. See this post: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...ml#post4100836 Definite hard pass on this used bumper. Definitely do buy the OEM one.

No way that is $100 to fix. Going to require a good amount of work. That's a no from me.

Thanks for the info guys I will not purchase the bumper and continue to find a better deal. In my area the IPL bumper will cost a little over $1,000 so hopefully I can find a used on in good condition from someone parting their car.

Talk him down, if I was set on the ipl bumper I'd talk him down as far as I can, then purchase it.

Poly/plastic bumpers can be repaired and the cost to do so is not the price of a new one.. you don't still come out on top even if you paid 350 then you would with a new bumper

the bumper has cracked right below the bumper mounting bracket on that side. it usually cracks there when the front bottom corner of the bumper hits a curb. It bends and flexes in a way that there is a lot of pressure near the sides where the bumper bracket is.

I would avoid this as even after repair the bumper will not be a 100%.
