climate control problem

Hi all,
When I got my 2008 coupe the CD player did not worked. I lived with that for the past few years and finally replaced it myself in November. The new CD player works great BUT I now have the following new problems:
1. The climate control system goes off every time you turn the car off and has to be turned on again and fan speed, temp, etc all must be reset.
2. The garage door opener on the rear view mirror is now dead.
3. The analog clock is now dead.
4. The airbag light on the dash is now lit.

I can live with most of these, but the climate control issue drives me nuts. Anyone got any ideas? I have already tried the factory reset/disconnect the battery for 15 minutes trick.

Thank you,
Matt

You should have left the CD player alone and use an IPod

I no longer use CD's
I no longer use cassette tapes
I no longer use 8 track tapes
I no longer play my 45 RPM records as
I converted all of them to MP3's

You may have broken a wire or have a loose connection?

Recheck your installation

LMAO^^

Sounds like if the climate control is losing its memory, you either dont have a constant power to it or there's a blown fuse somewhere. Total shot in the dark since I also, don't use the CD player. Hell, mine's probably broken too for all I know.

The climate control unit (AC amp) is the plastic box located above the AV unit.
If you replaced the whole assy including the AC amp unit, then puth back the original AC amp on the car, and everything will be OK.

Sorry to bring back this thread ! But did you ever find a fix for the climate control issue ? After attempting to install an aftermarket radio interface the same issue is happening to me.
