Installed Red IPL Interior in my 2008 G37 Coupe

Hey all - installed the IPL seats in my G, was a direct bolt on. I'm in love and probably the best purchase I have made to make me fall back in love with my coupe. I was highly considering purchasing an M4 - but hopefully this makes me stay away from any type of unnecessary down payment for the next 2 years or so. I also purchased the red insert panels so they should be on the way.

Side note - I will be replacing the headliner most likely and came to the conclusion of two options:

-------------------

Red Alcantara

Black Alcantara

Black for sure. I would just make all of the tan parts black now, that'll flow very well.

What does an alcantara headliner generally run? I'd love one in my IPL. My QX70 Sport has a black headliner and I really prefer that look.

Ah I didn't look to see where you were from. I'm sure it'll be quadruple that here in the U.S. I could do the trim paint myself but the headliner needs a pro.

Alcantara is synthetic. It's just a brand name like ultra suede. It's all just faux suede as opposed to real suede which is the inside portion of a hide. I used to do alcantara motorcycle seat recovers and I once did a pair of racing seats but a headliner is a completely different animal, especially in Alcantara.

JohnnysG, let us know what they quote you cost-wise. And I voted for black. I think the red will show more dirt, much like the tan liner, with time.

Prices will vary based on the material used. They got real alcantara as well as some HYbrid synthetic blend
$270 included removing headliner as components as well? Because that's literally a steal lol

I am going to go with black and I may make a DIY if one is not already up
