Question Plasti-Dipped Grill

Cracked my radiator cover in the process of removing the grill. Briefly browsed eBay, but didn't see any replacements for sale. Anyone know where I can get one (other than the stealership?)

I think I like it...

Mines dipped too and has held up very very well but I think in the long run, a professionally gloss black painted grill would look so much better.

I have gone back & forth so many times thinking about doing this. I even attempted once (on my M37) but could not figure out how to remove the grill so I gave up. I would just mask it off at this point.

When the Pasti-dip starts to break down, how hard is it to get off (especially the nooks and crannys)?

I agree, this was sort-of a temporary test to see if I like the grill black. I might have a pro paint it or purchase a midnight grill from eBay down the road.

I messed up a portion of the grill last night and had to hand peel the entire thing off and start from scratch.

It's not very hard to peel.

Not bad at all, the grill was done very well and hasn't chipped or anything so I haven't had to touch it. The rear letters needed re-sprayed but I literally just taped around it in a lazy way and sprayed over the old dip, came out exactly as I wanted.

I plastic dipped my grill as well..Had to take my bumper off any way and wanted to see how hard it was so when I get my Gen 3s I could have an idea of how hard it is. Also not to thread jack, the emblems on the back, are they basically glued on or snap in with holes?

Depends on how many coats you apply. If you only do like 2-3 coats, which is what I did the first time, it'll be difficult to remove. I had to redo my dip because of rock chips from a long road trip. Did 6 coats this time around.

I cracked mine too but I don't even use it anymore. Took that off and the intake cover to reduce heat in the engine bay. Plus it's easier to do maintenance.

The emblem is snapped in. Just pull the tabs in from behind the grill and it pops out.

The intake cover? Is the radiator cover there for any reason?

The intake cover I'm referring to is the plastic cover with the Infiniti symbol sitting on top of the intake plenum. For the rad cover I'm assuming it's for preventing dirt from funneling to the engine bay but I don't see much of an issue with it regarding my engine bay getting dirty.
