2008 G37, any concerns?

Hey guys,
New to the forum. I'm looking into possibly buying a 2008 G37 coupe 6mt with 95k miles. The guy claims it's had all regular maintenance done as well as preventative maintenance as well. Car looks really clean. He's asking 12k but I'd try to get it for 10k or less.
Are there any common issues I should be aware of for this year? Anything related to the higher mileage?
Thanks in advance!

The only real significantly reported issue is the timing cover gasket leak. G37s from model year 2012 and up were fitted with metal gaskets to mitigate leak issues that were more prevalent in prior models with the paper gaskets.

Aside from that these generally cars run like champs

also ask if he changed the slave cylinder recently to heavy duty one or not as well, it's unfortunate as hell if that goes out on you during your daily commute =/

Right now I have an '08 G37 and I have to say it's a wonderful car. I currently have 117,000 Miles on it and it still runs smooth. However I feel if any car is up-to-date with maintenance and parts that it can go easily over 200k perfectly fine.

Exterior- I had the exhaust rattle issue. Took it to the dealer said the exhaust needs to be replaced and found it was a widespread issue. I ended up buying an OEM exhaust from a newer model and put it on myself. The rattle went away.

Interior- My dash starting expanding up. This was also a widespread issue and since my warranty was done the dealer was kind enough to replace my entire dash for free.

Other than that no issues.

I'd say they fair better than most cars that are 8-9 years old, especially domestic cars.

Thanks for all of the replies guys. I actually am going to look at a different g37 on saturday. It's an 08 G37s with 56k miles. A guy I knew in high school owns it and he's always taken car of all of his vehicles. Really clean and it's in great shape. I'll be sure to ask about the slave cylinder and the paper gasket issue.

Oh man, that is a great all around package. Sport, 6 speed with SAT/NAV and rear camera. Pretty slick with already having IPL wheels. Check to see if you have RCA connectors in the center console, for your sake I hope so, if not, the Bluetooth wont stream music audio, only calls. ..

I hope it does too. Although I mainly listen to Sirius XM, I do like to listen to my music occasionally too. I really like the IPL wheels with new tires too. Really adds to the look of the car
