G37S Carbon Lip Spoiler
G37S Carbon Lip Spoiler
So I just got an 08 G37S a couple weeks ago. And as my second visual mod I want to get a carbon lip spoiler. I found a bunch that were compatible, but I want to find one with a camera cutout. So question number one: will this spoiler Carbon Fiber Rear Bumper Spoiler Boot Wing Fit Fr Infiniti G Series G37 2D 09 13 | eBay work with an 08 g37s considering it doesnt list the 2008 model as a compatible one. Also it doesnt list any sport models at all so, do the 08 and 09 models have the same trunk lid, and also are the sport models trunk lids different? Also, if you have any suggestions for carbon fiber spoilers with camera cutouts compatible with the 08 model please tell me about them. Thanks!
Seibon makes the OEM style without backup cam hole. They also can come with or without the third brake light.. i wanted to get one but haven't seen any pictures of them on the car and personally i want to retain the back up camera so i would have to retrofit it..
I looked on that website cant find the one with the camera cutout. Also I dont have the taillight on the spoiler.
Pics when it is on! my hesitation is the mounting points and fitment.. then the no back up camera hole...
Just spoke with someone locally and its $390 CAD to carbon overlay the OEM sport spoiler so I'm going with this route instead so i can maintain the back up camera and the 3 bolts and 2 clips that hold it in place...

I bought mine with the camera hole..
I test fit it, with minimal gaps (1/16th or less in 2 or 3 areas). Its mounted with doublesided tape only as there is not bolts or screws to connect with on the spoiler itself.
Im going to have to make a camera mount but looking at the oem mount for the camera, it shouldnt be difficult.
The carbon looks good, and the finish looks good as well.
Im waiting to install until i get my wheels, well the wifes wheels. She may want it painted body color

Are there any shops local to you that does any kind of hydrodipping? I ended up just getting my oem spoiler and hydrodipped it. it has the CF look to it. Shop local to me charged me $100 to dip it.

i think im just going to stick with my local guy who does carbon fibre overlay...
Oh sweet! a few questions about it, does it fit over the oem spoiler(this one: http://www.tflcar.com/wp-content/upl...1/IMG_1360.jpg ) or do you have to remove it? Did the camera cutout actually fit and was it centered? (i read a post that said the camera hole wasnt centered lol) and also, does it seem like it would last?
