From what I understand the 370z Nismo and IPL muffler are the same. They have the larger tips but should fit.

From what I understand the nismo muffler isn't much different sounding than the stock muffler. That's why your better off with the sport accessory muffler, it sounds better and is fully polished.

I bought mine out of NJ but I think the Carfax showed it originated in Va.
The bolts on my muffler were seized so badly I couldn't turn them with a breaker bar. I eventually used a torch to heat them up to break loose and had to reaheat them every quarter turn.
Not so bad once I figured that out.

Then I cleaned the threads with a wire brush on a drill and put some antisize on before reassembling.

In retrospect a good impact wrench probably would have made short work of the whole job.
I guess I'm just really picky and cheap lol...If I'm spending money I would like for it to be all intact and complete. I know it's just a little metal plate, but it just feels good to know that it probably hasnt been dropped or kicked around. Plus the one with the S/N looks in way better condition.

I rather pay a muffler shop to struggle with the bolts than me cursing and yelling at my car..lol

Just don't watch them then.
If you see how easy it is, you may be cursing and yelling at yourself.

Yeah thats my understanding as well.I guess I'll really find out. I'm going to try and make a before and after video.

I just can't see myself spending over 300 for just a muffler... at that point I would just do a muffler delete, but that would be a little too loud and I know my wife will bitch....I would rather have her bitch to me when i get that motordyne exhaust

Makes sense. People pay $50 for oil changes. Esp if you don't have the tools handy. (although a torch is like $14 at home depot)

Go for it. Get-er done. Post up how it turns out!

If I remember correctly, its four 10 or 12mm bolts.. That's it. No other tools besides a wrench needed, maybe some kind of lube laying around the garage to spray on the hanger to slide off the rubber hanger easier. Windex, shampoo, spit, doesn't matter lol
