Smile Zele front bumper vs. Z-style rep.?

hello everyone,

This may be a foolish question since replicas are frowned upon but is anyone on here rocking a z-style replica or everyone has the real zele bumper. I am currently looking at the

z-style on outcast garage: Infiniti G37 / Q60 Coupe Z-Style Fiberglass Front Bumper

and the real zele bumper on bulletproof auto: ZELE G37 GT Front Aero Bumper | Bulletproof Automotive

the price between the two are night and day. Outcast garage has a zele replica for half the price of the real zele bumper. although i have heard outcast garage puts out quality products, i was wondering if the replica is worth the price with the need of extra modifications to fit on my car, or the real zele bumper will be better bang for my buck (better fitment i'm assuming). Let me know what bumpers you guys are running. I'm happy to see what other front bumper kits the community is rocking.

I have a 09 g37x coupe the front bumper needs to be changed soon!!

thanks everyone!

The figment with replicas are generally not great and a body shop will have to do some work to get it to fit.
I have a replica zele bumper purchased from a vendor who is no longer in business. The fitment is not the best. There is some extra hood gap and around the headlights it's not a 100%. Since I have a Dark colour car it's less noticeable but on white or silver the gaps would look quite odd.

Thanks for your response! I was wondering if you have a picture of the hoop gap that you are talking about. I have a moonlight white G coupe so this gap your speaking of may be a game changer for me unless the shop can modify it to be as minimal as possible..

I purchased a Zele replicate from Outcast, only thing I did was enlarge a couple mounting bolt holes on the side, and widen a couple slots so the front grille could be installed correctly. I don’t have any headlight gaps on mine, or noticeable hood gaps. I did have to drill a couple holes on the bumper for the radiator shroud and bottom engine undercover to be bolted down. They were already indented into the fiberglass, so I just had to drill the hole. Saywat is right, I order mine from Outcast but was made and shipped from VisRacing. I have a picture I can post of mine later when I get home. My car is white Ivory Pearl.

Vis seems pretty reputable tho the few owners who have their kits that I read about on forums usually don't have too much of an issue and able to make it fit with few mods

08GCOUPE, Yes a picture of you setup would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like you need to do a fair amount of mods to make it fit on you car. Are you suggesting the real zele bumper may be a better choice?

I have the authentic Zele and the only drawback for me is the fiberglass.

Anyone know why the Japanese kit makers don't make kits out of poly? It's usually always frp. Is it jus easier and cheaper so they can mark it up and make a killing?

Here is picture of my OG front bumper, I would have to say, with about 20 minutes of drilling some larger mounting holes and using a dremel to enlarge the slots for the front grille, everything went smoothly.

Wow she is a beauty. Looks great man. I guess I can save some money for other upgrades with getting the zele replica bumper. Thanks for the tips and help everyone. And thanks for posting the picture 08GCOUPE.
