Questions for those that have Autokitsx v2 diffuser

ive already contacted alex at autokits although helpful didnt really answer my questions.

my first question is the supplied brackets. it appears to not be the correct angle so it doesnt sit flat at the top. it that how everyone's is? alexs response it to install the brackets first but if i do that then it would require me to force the diffuser to the bracket and then the top of the diffuser will flex and being fiberglass that cant be good. so i just installed long bolts to just keep it in place

second question is at the lower corners of the diffuser. its off by at least an inch if not more. is urs like that too? alex says to use the provided clip to clip to the bumper but that would just force it again to attach to the bumper. but again being fiberglass isnt that going to flex at the top of the diffuser and make it lift from the bumper?

for now the top of the diffuser is pretty spot on which im happy about and its solid meaning its not gonna budge. just the corners i wish would curve with the bumper better. id rather not force the diffuser to fit better being that its fibergalss. other than that the top fitment is the important one to me which fits good

thanks

attached are some pics to show what im talking about any input would be appreciated

could you take a pic of how ur brackets sit installed? maybe i could send that to autokitxs and have them send me better ones. both my brackets arent even the same angle lol.

yea the corners id rather let it hang then force it to be flush with the bumper. unless someone out there did force the corners and it didnt cause the top of the diffuser to flex and peel away from the bumper.

Younare suppose to use the fastener clips on the corner to hold them more. Inhave the CF version though.

^ its about a half inch gap. So using the clips will force the diffuser bottom up. Will that flex affect the fitment at the top of the diffuser where the tape is?

Hmm for the brackets looks like the bumper is no longer attached to the OEM bracket ? That's how u got it to fit the diffuser bracket? Is that wat I'm seeing. Maybe thats where I went wrong then lol thanks man

U considered using the clips to hold the corners down? My concern is the forcing will cause the diffuser to flex and peel off where the double sided tape is

Honestly I didn't touch the bumper for the brackets to match up. And the corners, honestly don't force it. If the diffuser is secured and isn't coming off, that's why I left the one corner as it is. It's barely noticible and the rest of the diffuser is secured to the bumper with the 3m
Tape

in my first post where i uploaded a pic of the bracket you can kinda see a black metal L bracket attached to the bumper where the diffuser bracket is supposed to attach to. is your bumper still attached to the black L bracket?

Saywat. I'm not trying to be a wisea$$ here, but did you try turning the bracket over? It almost looks like that would be the correct angle in your pictures, but it's hard to tell. Again, just a suggestion, not trying to be a jerk.

Cool. Sometimes when you get frustrated you overlook the little things, trust me I know.
