theres specific maps ur tuner can give u depending on what u want ex: burble map, flame map

I'll be honest, looking at your DIY project on the calipers in the other Coupe thread, it inspires me and pushes me one notch closer to doing it too. Seems that VHT has the cleaner, primer, basecoat and clear coat options all laid out with rattlecans. Lately I've been feeling like I want to get the paint and run a few samples on some loose aluminum pieces, before committing.

I have faith you’ll make it look really good. I’m sure those who have more experience with painting will say it’s all in the prep work. Clean the hell out of them. Scuff them up. Clean again. Mask it off very carefully and the rest is all a waiting game. A few beers later you’ll admire your work 👍🏾 Don’t worry so much about a little overspray on the rotors as those will come right off once you drive the car. Also, is it just me or did Infiniti purposely paint the stock akebonos plain Jane silver because they already knew owners were going to customize them 🤣

VHT engine paints are rated at 650°. VHT caliper paints are rated at 900°.

Burnt Copper is a really good look, but it's not a caliper paint. I wonder if it matters. I mean, there's a reason for the distinction.

Oh hey, look at this! A youtube video on the topic, living rent free inside my head.

Interesting 🧐 I guess for me time will tell. Like he mentioned for daily driving you should be fine. Those who track their car may want to go the powdercoat option. I said to myself, this is cheap. If it works great. If it doesn’t, I’ll just scuff them up again and repaint lol.

IDK about the disco flake in the paint, but that HARD WORK detail is interesting. I like it back in the barrel like that. Was that your idea, or does it reference something? One wheel, one on each side, or all four?

I'd like to see this on your car, too.

A couple of touch ups required as wheel shop "tirecraft" mishandled them and caused damage. Should have them fixed up repolished and re waxed and photo for you fellas in next week. "HARD WORK" is reminder to myself how much time and effort went into this project, appreciate it and not do anything similar again.
