Selling my 7AT with custom Ecutek tune?
I'm thinking of selling my 2011 Journey Coupe 7AT with custom Ecutek tune for a 6MT. Currently have mods but kept my OEM parts in case a situation like this would occur. I have a few questions:
1)Would having my OEM parts installed have an issue with the current tune?
2)Would it be necessary to go back to stock tune before selling/trading it?

I'm confused. Was your car tuned for a manual trans instead of an auto? I didn't know that was even a thing. An engine tune, at least on other cars, should have nothing to do with what gear you're in, just load % in a specific RPM with air/fuel blended in. I know you can flash the auto trans for better shift points etc but..

Quick answer- The stand up thing to do is have the car flashed back to stock once the stock parts are back on. It would be kind of scummy of you to sell someone a car that's tuned for different parts and not running its best. IF you don't mind taking advantage of someone who knows less that's your decision.
He means that he is selling his 7AT car which has an Ecutek tune because he wants to buy a car with a 6MT. His question is about whether or not he needs to have the tune adjusted once the stock parts are back on the car and he goes to sell it.
