I have been looking for an ipl front bumper for some time now for a good price to no avail. So im starting to wonder if I should just pick up the sport bumper? Is there really a big difference haven't seen them together before. Anyone have any pics? Recommendation?

i like the looks of the Sport bumper myself. the IPL looks like a cowcatcher - too pointy at the front, IMHO.

 

Alot of people aren't fans of the ipl bumper anymore here on this forums. Alot say it's been "played out" lol. I actually like both bumpers to be honest. I personally love my ipl bumper but I've seen some really nice done up sports bumpers on this forum as well.

Infiniti of Willow Grove (PA) stocks the IPL bumper for $935 after applying the ESTORE2016 coupon. I think that is one of the best prices from a dealer.

 

Its grey right now but I plan on getting painted black.
They look pretty much the same to me, ipl a little pointer, may just go with the sport.
Has anyone had the g37 painted a different color? Price? Any advice?

 

I'd say wrap it instead of painting so you don't mess with the resale value, unless of course you plan on keeping it forever.

 

ipl kit really shines if the car is slammed. id love the newer sport bumper but can get past the middle curved section. wtf were they thinking. on top of that looks like a celica bumper

 

Don't you love the "played out" argument? I have a 99 3000GT front bumper on my Stealth. There are the people that cry they are played out all the time. Of course on a car forum full of enthusiasts who love modding their cars, both performance and aesthetic wise, you are going to see lots of the same things.

Outside of a few car gatherings I have went to I have seen less than 5 99 front cars in 14 years of owning my car. Even in the gatherings I have went to I have seen maybe 5 other enthusiasts/members cars in person with the 99 front.

So, yeah, my point is, just because you see 100 of something on a forum, doesn't mean it is played out. If there are 100 on here there are 87,000 members so its less than 1% of the community and I would bet the percentage is even less for overall owners.

To add one more thing to my point, someone was carrying on about "played out" one time so I fired back with how "played out" stock looking cars were since there were far more of them than the 99 front cars.

They failed to have a response after that. Lol

 

I think the played out argument is meant for mods . U can't play out a stock car.

 

In North Houston every 5th or 6th car is or has an IPL front bumper. It depends on your location. IPL looks great sitting on the ground and is a nice look to me. But, I bought a 2010 Sport bumper and like it well enough too. To each their own.
