Escaped sheet metal damage
But the Right side wheels are done. Narrowly missed a car that didn't see me, or was going to pull out regardless.
I was turning left, from left turn lane across her bow. suddenly, she just went for it. I swerved wide and finished the turn on the sidewalk. Hell of an impact, missed road sign by inches. I looked back and the Civic was gone, on her way to the next accident.
Now the the right front wheel is 1/2 inch closer aft to the fender, steering wheel is off center. Surprisingly the tires stayed inflated. I drove home slowly and parked it. took it to my alignment shop on Friday for an inspection only thing we saw was the lower ball joint nut was loose. Decided to take her home and tear into the front corner.
A body shop I called said the LCA tends to take damage in an indecent like this. These LCA are massive, hard to tell if it is deformed so many curves. I did notice that the 2 bolts that hold the rear mount of the LCA were not centered in the sub frame holes, and an imprint of the bolt threads were in the subframe hole of one of them.
The holes in the subframe as well as the LCA are over sized compared to the bolts. allows a bit of slop.
Could there be enough slop to put the wheel 1/2 in back or is the control arm bent as well? Maybe both allowed the displacement?
I ordered a LCA from Infiniti, should be here by the end of the week.

Hard to say what is bent, and cast aluminum tends to crack when stressed. From your pics it appears that the subframe is still in good shape. Nice job avoiding further damage, hopefully nothing is hiding in the shadows.

Glad you're ok and to see things weren't worse for you. That sounds similar to when I was out on my test drive in my G, a lady decided to make a left turn on red through a very busy intersection while not looking on her phone. Fortunately I had room and the G handled like a champ to get around her w/o incident. The salesman gave me credit for my driving to which I credited the handling of the G. My TL wouldn't have handled it so gracefully and made me feel that much better about making the purchase. Good luck with the repair, hope you get it back on the road soon.
