Just registered as a new member! Hope I don't get blasted for this as I find that noobies that registers to car forums of their cars always typically gets blasted when they ask for simple questions without doing their due diligence on the forum's search engine. I have to admit that I have not done my due diligence so Ima ask anyway. I just bought a 2008 Black Obsidian G37S Coupe with a decent mileage of 100k through a very good friend of my wife's cousin. But please feel free to guide me to the right post as you please. I just want to know where in this forum can I get a good deal on the whole lower body kit, i.e., front and rear bumpers and side skirts. Basically the whole works right? I want something like this or looking for something like this: G37 - ????????????? or https://www.tumblr.com/search/infiniti%20g37. I am from Toronto, Ontario, Canada so if there are any mods here that are Canadian, would really appreciate your knowledge and expertise on the subject. Would be nice too if you know of any member or mods here that usually put together group buys or that actually sells them at a very reasonable price that doesn't break the bank. Thank you in advance.

No group buys sorry. You can get the duraflex brand really cheap on ebay for the entire kit. Front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper for a fraction of the oem cost. But I don't recommend it at all and there's been ALOT of fitment issue reviews on that brand.

 

Isn't duraflex fiberglass as well? Or am I wrong?

 

Is the one being sold at Outcast Garage any better in comparison to the one that they're selling on Ebay? Also, the one at Outcast Garage is more pricier compared to the one on Ebay?

That's what it says on one of their ebay ads.

Why buy from outcast when ebay is cheaper and 100% oem? There are a number of people including myself who bought the one off ebay and painted it (or in my case vinyl wrapped it) amd are behind happy with it. The one I sent you from ebay (not the duraflex) is 100% OEM and has flawlessly perfect fitment.

 

SOOOOOOOO let me clarify this whole duraflex myth.

Myth: duraflex doesn't suck.

If you've ever had a fiberglass bumper, you know that its awful. If you so much as bump up against a parking curb, expect a huge crack or a hole. So what our deceitful friends at extreme dimensions did was coat fiberglass in some kind of plastic crap, put out some seriously misleading promotional videos, and mass produced a bunch of fiberglass bumpers coated in plastic that are NOTORIOUS for having fitment issues. To add to the laundry list of reasons you shouldn't buy a duraflex bumper: They often require sanding, none of the holes are pre drilled, and some require extensive body work just to make the bumper fit.

So are duraflex bumpers better than fiberglass? Yes. Is that saying much? No. If you ignore my warnings and go the cheap route, expect to be in the body shop every few months getting your bumper patched up and repainted.

My advice- save up some money and buy a proper polyurethane bumper or you'll be making frequent & costly trips to your local body shop.

OG has some great guys working there and stand behind their products...no issues with them.

 

I was just answering the question of is duraflex fiberglass or not I am in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY AT ALL condoning the purchase of anything duraflex. Just giving the options of what's out there. But slowG you explained it absolutely perfectly.

And saywat I honestly ask myself that EVERYTIME I see anything from them posted up. I really don't know how they are even still in business it's truly baffles me.
