Some drunk douche hit the G last night :'(
Damn this sucks. Same thing happened to me years ago. Car was parked and some guy in a pickup made a fast and wide turn, lost control, hit my car and sped off. Neighbor caught the plate. Like everyone else said, please report it. And with it being a holiday weekend, there's a good chance the police will locate the vehicle before the schmuck can get it in for repair.

After seeing your car in person it could've been much much worse. It looks like you'll definitely need a new passenger side fender and refinish the passenger side front wheel. The damage to the bumper itself looks purely cosmetic which a buff and minor paint work should fix.
Hopefully all the clips are in tact and the suspension didn't get effected. Best of luck Tim. Keep us all informed with what happens brother.

Good to see you filed a report. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing so, not to mention it is good to make sure your attempting to hold the responsible party accountable (sorry thats the Parole Officer in me). Sadly people have figured out that if they are in an accident when drunk they can flee the scene and go home or elsewhere and drink more so there is no way to prove they were DUI at the time of the accident. The worst they have to deal with is "fleeing scene of accident" and other likely summary offense charges. Regardless this should have no impact on your insurance as others have said it wasn't your fault. Years ago I had a car hit and run overnight and I used the insurance money to buy a plethora of upgrades and repaired myself all with no impact to my premium. Good luck, I hope all it all works out for you.
Glad you got the police report, no reason not to. But, to be clear, claims can be finicky. If your company pays out AT ALL they have the right to surcharge your premium but they will make sure you agree to all of that before they pay you, if you decline you can pay out of pocket or sue the other guy and your company won't charge you a thing. Don't be confused with "at fault" or not, that plays a part but does not solely decide. Plus claims aren't always 100% turn outs. If you parked on the wrong side of the street, they could give you 70/30 or 80/20 fault, happens all the time. That being said they, will likely pay so you can be on your way and then subrogate the other drivers insurance for that money back. Your insurance company has a hell of an investigation department, they have your back and they want their money, DO file a claim with them, whether they pay out or not, they can help find and charge the other guy. For the record, I'm a licensed agent, insurance is what I do so let me know if you have questions about the process.

Kickass!
That looks great.
It was painful looking at the hit in person at the NJ meet. Glad you got it fixed and found the jerk who caused the damage.
Y'know your GF is wondering why you're taking more pictures of the car than of her.
Tell her the truth. You'd rather have the guys looking at the car.
