Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but to my knowledge, everything body wise is IPL. There are a couple of things inside ( such as having all of the packages, etc...) that also are the same as the IPL. The real difference is the engine and it's surrounding parts. Although my 20th anniversary has the sport muffler, the opened up exhaust of the IPL is not the same as the exhaust on the 20th anniversary. The IPL engine also pushes a little more horsepower and seems to be a bit more efficient.


The 20th anniversary coupe also only comes in the metallic gray with red interior, whereas the IPL can also come in the beautiful black. It is also limited to 200 examples.


All in all, there are a few differences, mainly performance oriented but they are very very similar. I see the 20th anniversary as a way for them to have tested what the market might have looked like for the release of the IPL.

 

I guess the best way to tell would be to look at your ECU and see if there's the IPL badge on it. You may or may not have the IPL engine cover too.
