Courtesy Exit Feature

My 2010 G37x Coupe was in a small accident last month and when it came back from the body shop, I noticed that the courtesy exit feature (the seat moving back a few inches when you turn off the car) stopped working. After searching online forums as well as the manual, I found the two ways of turning it back on. Holding the set button as well as the open/close the door trick. I did both of these, but to no avail. So the body shop took it back and ended up going to two different Infiniti dealers to have it looked at. They both said the same thing - the coupe never had this feature, only the sedans. It makes sense to have the ability to disable this in the coupe since if you have a rear passenger, there's not much room to start with, but they are telling me it never had the feature.

I'm 100% certain my car had this feature as I've been driving it since I bought it brand new back in 2010. So, I'm hoping someone on here could shed some light on what might have caused my car to have this feature for the past 5+ years and how I might be able to get it back?

Thanks so much!

Check the settings? Should be one of the options in the menu on the radio screen.

The setting on the nav screen is greyed out.

These are the two things that the manual says that were tried to no avail.

Never knew this was a thing either. Not sure if I would ever use it in my coupe but interested to see how this turns out.

I have a 2013 coupe and have never had this feature. I always thought this was a sedan only feature.

I thought it was a sedan only feature as well. Never worked on my coupe anyway.

As far as I know, this option isn't available in coupes because the back seats are so small it would crush someone's legs when you got out. My work around was programming memory 1 for driving and memory 2 for exiting the vehicle. 2 puts my seat all the way back and my steering wheel all the way up. It's not as "convenient" as it happening automatically, but it's about as close as you can get.
