UPS lost rear wheel

Bought a set of the G37 coupe sport wheels off a member on here, all 3 came in yesterday but the last one did not. Called UPS this morning and they have no idea where the package is. I don't understand how one can lose a rim+tire being that big. Along with shipping being expensive. Guess I'll drive with one 18 inch wheel and all 3 19's(sarcastic)..

Anyone have a similar situation and what was the outcome?

I really hope they do locate it.

Did they start a trace on it yet. I think that will need to happen before your seller can make any sort of claim. It's probably they didn't lose it per say but rather the label came off/got damaged.

Yes the claim has started been a few hours or so.. hopefully it was just that and I get the wheels.

Same thing happened to me last year... But i bought wheels from retailer so they sent me new one. Even if they start to trace that means nothing....after i claimed through ups i never got single call back from em. Month later ups sent me a package that was open n damaged. It was the wheel they failed to deliver. Ups don't give a single **** to customers good. Just keep bug em by calling em.

I am not surprised, I remember once they lost "Half" of a bicycle that was shipped via air (I think the owner paid them around 300 for shipping).

It didn't arrive 5 days after it should have arrived they were making up stories and with the help of a cop(yes after so many days she decided to call a cop) it turns out they lost half of the bike.

Every shipping company has problems I know but I am disgusted by UPS a long time ago and the only time I deal with them is when Amazon sends the items (it is free so I don't care).

If UPS doesn't find your wheel/tire they will reimburse the shipper for whatever he insured it for. Your shipper should be able to provide you a tracking number. That should help you figure out where it is.

^^Actually the OP may already has the tracking number, indirectly. Assuming it was shipped as a multipackage shipment, one tracking number should link to the others. That is, track any known tracking number associated with the shipment and you'll see the others.

I've received the other 3 tires on Friday, I'm assuming the 4th one had it's label fall off that's why it was not "shipped".. but now it's coming off as an Exception/Lost package.

Have you talked with the seller/shipper? Ultimately, they need to resolve this in some manner. UPS will not pay the recipient for any claims, only the shipper. The contract for shipping services is between the seller and the shipper. (Assuming this was even insured for appropriate value.)

This presents an unusual situation given the nature of the product involved. You can't do much with 3 wheels. The seller either needs to take the 3 wheels back or provide you a matching fourth wheel. The fact that the seller is a private party rather than a dealer further complicates this.

Oh man, this is one of those moments where you just have to laugh and think how does it get any worse? I'm sorry for your families loss bro. Things can only look up from here. Best of luck my dude.

When it rains, it pours. Having been to several funerals in the past month, we're actually exploring various options here. One thing for sure. Funerals are NOT cheap! Not at all. Their price lists are worse than cable or cell providers.

Keep your head up. Things will work out eventually.
