Cracked Dash? Solution Found! almost, kinda, maybe...

my dash is terrible and haven't yet had a chance to stop by a dealer to see if I can get it fixed for free. Soooo I decided to jump online and try out a DashMat. It comes with velcro which I haven't put on yet but that's why it looks wavy. I just threw it on to see how it looked and it's not bad. much better imo than looking at a cracked nasty dashboard. I think oem black floor mats would actually turn my **** interior into a halfway decent one. These interiors weather very quickly and are of poor quality imo. Love this vq37hr motor so much though I can justify getting rid of her just yet.

Good solution. Probably beats the creaks and noises you may get after a dash replacement because some tab is missing or broke.

I'm not a huge fan, it just doesn't match up but then again I may think differently after seeing the cracking your talking about. Do you mind taking some pictures of it please? It'll give us all a better sense of why do you chose this direction.

+1 Not feeling the dash mat. maybe if it was tan like the color of your dash.

there are dash repair vendors out there that the dealer uses. find one and call them out to your house for them to do an estimate and repair for dash and trim repair. they can fix most cracks and imperfections on plastic components and it looks pretty decent.

nice! thanks for the info.

The Dashmat isn't my style either and its kinda ugly actually lol but to me, it's still better than looking at a cracked dash.

Can you take a few pictures of underneath it so we can see exactly what you're talking about and how bad it is.

We used this in the Corvette world.....no dash cracks it has UV protectants and no cheap looking shine. The G37 interior is way better than a Corvettes so no reason for the cracks if you treat it with this stuff.
Its engineered for aerospace and aviation applications....follow the link below for more information.

303® Aerospace Protectant? for long-lasting finish and shine

+1 on the 303 Aerospace protection.
Cracks generally come from use of inferior cleaners and conditioners that compromise the dash materials
