No need to get caught up in the remote start button... I'd hope they have a 4-button, and if not, maybe program around it and put up with a dead button.

Also, this isn't a lighting thing... if you compare to the standard keyfob, you'll see the icons are clearly contrasted.

Either way, the real question is where can it be obtained?

Not sure where to get that keyfob. But I've seen this other thread to an even more badazz japanese model fob.

I, too, thought that one was great... until I realized it's pretty generic in Japan.

It's not Nissan-specific/OEM.

Other manufacturers (I remember seeing the same with Mazda logo, and the other I forget), but the point is, it's generic, so meh.

On the one pictured above, I like how the buttons have a brushed metal finish, or at least that's how they appear.

I'm not sure if the key fob is just a generic picture they're using. Or the key fob comes with an actual oem remote start module.

 

Well, that certainly looks like it. Question now is why is it specified as "Fits Model: JX35"

I'd like to think a keyfob is a keyfob... is it REALLY model specific? If nothing else, hell, just buy the key (unprogrammed) and swap out the buttons, lolz.

On a slightly different topic, does anyone know if it would work to get the specific keyfob mentioned by quakerroatmeal and program the remote start button with remote start on the G37?

From what I've come across, I've seen remote start programmed into an OEM g37 keyfob by pressing lock 3x... why not just program remote start to the designated button? Perhaps it wasn't available at the time... but now that it is, would it work, or am I oversimplifying with the "a keyfob is a keyfob"?

What this forum needs is someone on the inside at Nissan NA (Nashville) or at the very least parts guy at a dealer. This would be very helpful in getting info like this.
