Also since G37x coupes seem to be outnumbered 3 to 1 I will consider sedans as well..whats the biggest differences if any?

I live in DC (Dupont Circle) and just traded my 2013 Mazda3 for a 2008 G37 Coupe.

As a city car, it's great. Really easy to parallel park, especially with the backup camera. It was useless during the blizzard, but I expected that.

I've had some repairs, but Sheehy Infiniti in Chantilly has been fantastic, and I've also used Japanese Auto Care in Arlington on Glebe Road.

I am overall very happy with the G.

Interesting switch...I went from a 2012 Speed 3 to an 08 G37 coupe. Love my car, but for myself going back 4 years, I'm still upside down on my G.....But at 106k, the car drives flawlessly

The X"S" coupes get several performance upgrades from the Sedan X w/ the S pkg. like the nice big Akebono brakes.
Other than that they're basically the same from a performance standpoint.
If you need back seat access often then the sedan FTW.

rarely have people in my back seat of my current car thats why i wanted a coupe. i mean if i'm going to spend 22-24k on a car it better give me a smile on my face. its why i have always wanted A C5 z06 i know that will make me smile, but i have to be practical and need something that will work year round especially if i need to get into the office

Question...How did you get to the final list of being a G37 and a mazda 3?

Mazdas are trash IMO. I would get a Subaru before that one.

2014-2015 mazdas look good and the brand from my research came out as reliable. I've avoided subaru since my friend has had his engine blow 2 times already. I did consider the 2014 imprezas but for what you pay i might as well get some more luxury. it was mainly a MPG thing with the Mazda but i decided i wanted something more fun

i did consider Audi but i don't want to deal with german engineering prices or maintenance, and everybody has a BMW

I am biased from when Ford owned the company at one time. I just never gave a second look. Subaru owners are infamous for tuning them over their limits. I am sure his twice blown issue came from an overtuned engine.

If you want MPG, the G sucks on it, and is def not for you. Just don't say you weren't warned LOL

And I agree. German engineering isn't for me at this time of my life. I want no parts. I just came from Acura, and Lexus before that. Japanese has done me great.

If you want luxury, reliability, and MPG, I would highly consider the Lexus CT. Better than Mazda all day.

I'm fully aware the G MPG would suck, its the sacrafice i was willing to part with. by MPG it was either going to go with a car that had good MPG or a car more fun like the G.

also that lexus is out of my price range and not my style as a hatch/wagon

Ask yourself this...what will you be more happy with in the long run?

I was in this boat 4 months ago when I got the car, and was between the g37, Impreza WRX, and IS350. Saw myself in the G, and if you are into this type stuff, there are mods that can be done to the car to really make unique to you.

If you are looking for a MPG efficient car, I predict you will regret having a 4cy with terrible power. You wont have that regret with the G. I suggest you get the G. The power will last you longer, and the styling is still mature. Just my 0.02.

That's easy too!

Got mine for 22,995 (before taxes) with 41k on it. I love it, and know I made the right choice.

I see you want the AWD option right?
