This is my first post on the forum, so hello myg37! I just purchased my first g last month. It's an 08 g37s coupe 6MT.
I'm looking into exhaust setups and I went a more affordable route and picked up berk test pipes, and universal exhaust tips. I am planning on doing a muffler delete with straight pipes from a local muffler shop that has worked on my buddy's bmw 335i.
I also had discovered I have an exhaust leak in my Y pipe so I'm looking into ether replacing it with a new OEM one or getting an after market y pipe.
So my question is, will this be overkill with the exhaust? Too loud and raspy without any resonators or mufflers? This is my daily driver and I'm concerned that it may be much too loud.
Let me know what you guys think and let me know what you think I should do.
My friend has Berk resonated test pipes and AAM short tails, it is really loud. Coming from a person that is running Fast Intentions resonted test pipes and top speed axle back. With both setups, no rasp at all but I can't confirm that as you are using non-resonated test pipes. It will be really loud let me tell you now.
Awesome, my buddy with a 370 just did that cause his straight pipe was too loud. Looks like I'll prob go that route
I have this with Z1 HFC, custom 2.25" going into the Magnaflow and out thru the factory muffler and it sounds great. Not loud or obnoxious and no rasp. Looking to go with TopSpeed axle back just to make it slightly louder.
