Do what you feel comfortable paying. If you add up intake, exhaust and tune you might spend 3 grand? 10 grand for a SC or turbo to me is a little expensive. If I wanted that type of performance I would have bought a faster more powerful car. I think in most situations the standard 3 mods will suffice for daily driving needs

ya ive spent around 2 grand so far just on a ark grip catback exhaust and k&n 69 series short ram air intake. ive been considering a turbo or supercharged setup but not quite ready to dump 10k into her yet. i have a 2012 g37x sedan and does anybody know any good front or rear lips ( body kit ) to help make it look sexier... its black and i have all around tint on the car and looking for black rims to match (gonna murder it out). but plz feel free to suggest some bad *** parts to help boost the aesthetics of the car.

Damn, you kinda need to be happy with a mostly stock powered G37, or open up your wallet.

I spent $600 on an Accessport (can get them used $200-300), flashed a stage 1 off the shelf map, and 10 minutes later without tools or getting dirty, got 100 extra hp on my Evo.

Spend $3000 to get maybe 30hp on th G37? No thanks. LOL

Axle back, R2C panel filters, and I'm done. Looking forward to the Q60 TT, with cheap and easy gains ...

I think you get the most bang for your buck (from simple bolt-ons) with one or more of the following.
Z1 or M370 plennun
Long tube intake
HFCs or test pipes
Y-pipe
Tune

Preferable a tune (uprev or Ecutek) after you've installed your breathing mods.

Like Landshark indicated, its a challenge to get significantly much more than what the G is already putting out with simple bolt-ons.

Ecutek tuning and some simple exhaust mods

I spent about $1000 on exhaust mods with AAM and about $600 on Ecutek tuning, ended up with 345.5 horses

Note this plot is showing flywheel hp (hub dyno figures adjusted to display 'at flywheel'

Honestly this ^^^ real power comes from the SC or turbo...However, if your going to add 8 to 12k to your payment should have purchased a Corvette.

Thats pretty good....at the wheels that would be around 395 at the crank.
So a 65 HP increase...do you know your AF ratio that they tuned you to at WOT...?
What were you exhaust mods....headers and HFC?

Already adjusted to flywheel so only 25hp gain

No, the plot has already been adjusted to flywheel hp so it's about 25hp gain, but I'm still very happy with it as the car feels much more responsive (Abbey Motorsport use a hub dyno and the plot has been moderated to display flywheel)

AFR plot here:

Exhaust mods were AAM HFCs and AAM Y Pipe, and a bespoke back box (made by JP Exhausts in Macclesfield - a long way to come for any of you guys but local for me!)

Okay that makes more sense ....I thought maybe these G37s must be pig rich to do that or they were running you lean.

Agreed. You're only going to extract MINIMAL HP from a 3.7 liter V6 NA car. Period. And, pay a pretty penny for it, I might add.
