Steering wheel stuck in down position

So I keep my steering wheel set all the way up and all the way back. Yesterday, while I was driving, the steering wheel fell to the down-most position. I can pick it up manually but it just falls again.

Pushing the up button does nothing because it's technically still in the "up" position, and pushing the down button makes it attempt to go down but it just makes a weird noise.

It can telescope just fine, but it seems like it just can't stay up, like it fell off of the track or something. Has anyone had this problem? My legs are long and I can't see my speedo anymore lol

Sounds like you need to get it to the dealer.

I think that's gonna be the next step. I just really don't feel like paying them, I do all my own work so I figured if someone had this problem I could at least look into it.

Just an update for anybody with the same issue. Took it to the dealer and there was 1 bolt missing from the assembly. I guess it go loose and vibrated out or something. Regardless, $305 later, my wheel is back to normal.
