It was a hard decision, where I wanted to go with the newer bumper 2013+ when we were sketching out what needed to be done to create it, we found there was going to be a lot more weak points in the newer design, because filler fg would have to be used. The number 1 thing we focused on is the strength and durability of the bumper. Because we wanted to use as little filler/FG as possible the 2012 bumper was the better option. We still could of went with the 2012 upper grill, but then the parts where we would have graphed the 2 bumpers together would have been much weaker. We literally through this bumper once we fused the 2 pieces together against some saw horses a few times trying to get it to crack or seperate. After about 5 good hard slams, we saw 0 damage (minus scuffs but this was before any paint). So we completed all points we were trying to hit, and created a very strong bumper awesome bumper for the G. I've had 3 companies approach me after seeing it in person asking to use it as a template for a mold because its beyond the quality they were expecting.
But props for being different.
