For all the guys that post gas station pics

I see pics with the gas cap hanging against the side of the car, and it make me cringe every time. Do this instead, that's what it's there for.

I didn't at first either. One day I was filling the car up, and I was like "WTF is this little bracket looking thing here for?" DOH!!! LOL It's probably pointed out in that 'fueling your G37' part of the owners manual too.

^^^You need to tell the attendants though, they DGAF. I do miss that part about living in Jersey...especially in the winter or when its raining.

I use that thing all the time

I actually look for a place for the gas cap the first time I fill up a car. Pisses me off when they don't have one.

I was confused the first time I filled up...I said to myself "Apparently they want you to get gas on your car all the time..."

Does anyone not bother to read the owners manual anymore?

Which one, the 490 page "Owner's Manual" or the 267 page Navigation Systems Owners Manual.

Admittedly, I have read most pages of the former, but only use the latter to 'look things up' as needed.

Some things like the gas cap holder seem obvious to me, but maybe that's because I had one on my 2004 G as well. However, one could spend a considerable amount of time trying to figure out all the bells and whistles within the Nav system. Since I already know where to get a good burrito and how to get to work, I rarely require it (I had to buy it to get the Sport package). When I do need to get somewhere I have never been, I turn to Google Maps first.

I never felt compelled to read the 'How to put gas in your car' part of it, no. I believe I referenced that fact in post number 3.
