Anyone ever put a wheelchair in the trunk of a coupe?
When I was shopping for a G37, I took one look at the trunk of the coupe and immediately wrote it off. I wish I had actually tried to fit a wheelchair in there though...sometimes you can surprise yourself with what will fit. I think it was the depth that seemed too shallow, not the length and width (hard to remember now)
I ended up getting a sedan, but now I always wonder...could I have made the coupe work?
I occasionally have to drive my mother around, and she's in a wheelchair, so I need something that will accommodate her. After buying my sedan, she bought a slimmer chair that not a true wheel chair...it's more like a rollator. I'm thinking this thing may fit in the trunk of a coupe, but wonder if a true wheelchair would also fit in case she needs to revert back. Both of them fold up nicely, but clearly, the wheelchair is bulkier.

I've been itching for a coupe, and I'll always wonder if I could/should have gotten one instead of the sedan. I'll look to visit this perhaps in 2016 after having my sedan for more than a year. My power train warranty should still be in effect then and I shouldn't lose more than a couple thousand dollars making the trade. One thing's for sure...I plan to bail on my 2011 before the timing chain cover gasket starts to give me issues. I know that it may never happen...but being a 2011, that's the last year they used the paper gaskets. I'd rather have a 2012 or 2013. I'll be looking at a 2013 sometime in 2016, and I'd love to have a coupe instead of a sedan. I may even go with a Sport model next time around

Interesting...do all coupe back seats fold down? What trim level is yours?
On my 2012 Maxima, the back seats didn't fold down. The Premium and Sport models had a solid, non folding rear seat back which increased chassis rigidity by 15%, and a small hole with door to put long (but small) items through to the passenger cabin.
My G37 Sedan has a similar solid rear seat back so I guess I assumed that Infiniti went this way for all G37 cars...but that's not the case clearly.
Is it because I have AWD? Or do all sedans do this?
What about the coupe? Would the IPL, convertible or Sport model be solid, or do those also fold down?

So at this point, I'd still need the wheel chair to fit as I can see her possibly going back to it. Thanks for confirming the transfer chair works, and also for giving me the name of it.

Did a test of ours, since my mother in law needs it from time to time, just to see.
