Some Aesthetic Mods On My S Coupe **New G Owner**

I just picked up my 2012 G37 S Coupe in October of 2014 and it's amazing. I don't plan on doing much more. I think the stock exhaust sounds perfect. I might do some sort of intake in the future and once my tires are done, I'll get some 20x10.5 charcoal or gunmetal colored concave rims on this thang. I like my cars to be just a little unique and I think that the yellow does that, let me know what you think.

Here's what I've done so far:
IPL License plate frames

Yellow painted brake calipers with custom "IPL" logo

Yellow "S" emblem to match^

Tinted reverse signals

Red GTR button

Brushed steel and flat aluminum interior trim wrap (I wanted to cover up some scratches in the aluminum but also keep the stock look)

I like the color theme you're going with! Dark Gunmetal/Charcoal rims with yellow calipers will look nice!

However, the IPL logo painted brakes....to be honest I'm not feeling it on a g37S. I would've gone with Akebono Decals on this one but to each his own.

Looking forward to the rims and welcome to the forums!

Yeah I am more of a purist I would not use the IPL logos unless you have one.

However the trim wrap looks great, did you use 3m? how much did it cost you?

I like the hand sanitizer mod.

And the GT-R start button.

Trim is nice, as well.

Welcome to the site, nice job making your G "your own". Looks like a real nice job on the calipers but gotta agree that you should have an IPL to go w/ them.
But hey, it's your G and it looks like you're doing quality work w/ all your mods so it's

The trim wrap was a little pricey at $400. Had a shop do it for me because I don't have the skill or time to rip apart my car.

As far as the IPL logo on the calipers goes... I look at it this way... if I were to have a BMW 335 or 435 with the big brake kit upgrade on it from the factory, those brakes would have the "M" logo on them even though the car is not an M3 or M4...

I like the color of the brake calipers, but I don't like the IPL logo or the yellow S on the rear.

The fact that Infiniti doesn't offer actual IPL spec parts or even IPL themed add-ons to non IPL cars breaks your BMW M/M sport logic.

The trim is a nice and subtle touch. I'm interested to see what you do next.

That said... more power to you! It is your car and yours alone. Do what makes you happy.

You don't have an IPL so IPL on the brakes/license plate is thumbs down and don't like the yellow "S". The rest looks good ... to each their own.

Which calipers are on the IPL? Are they different from the S?

I actually like the yellow theme, even on the "S"

The IPL doesn't have it's own specific calipers

Not an IPL - no IPL logo.

Nice try ..... labeling your car with something it's not is a high school move.

I don't see it that way. He labelled the calipers as IPL, not the car. And since the IPL doesn't have specificcally unique calipers...technically, his calipers could be referred to as "IPL"
