The Story: I just recently sold my '09 G-37S and bought a '11 IPL. The OEM exhaust on the IPL is a little too mild for my taste, so I'm looking at after market ABE's. My '09 had a Tanabe ABE and I didn't like the truck-like sounds at lower RPMs when in drive with the 7AT. So, I'm looking at Megan and Top Speed to solve my need for a little more noise without any drone. I'm hoping that someone on this forum may have gone through this question of choice between the two candidates and could give me some advice regarding sound and fitment. Yes, Ive read the threads and listened to youtube 'till I became dizzy. Right now I'd value some solid experience.

... What do you mean truck noises?

 

At start-up and slow down in D(especially in heavy traffic), It sounded to me like a truck. Anything under 2,000 RPMs unless you're accelerating hard. I finally left it in sport mode most of the time. Of course that's just my opinion. It did sound nice at higher RPMs. I like a little more snarl and a little less bass.
