So I know there was a post from a few years ago regarding this and how they needed interest in order to approve production. Well I'm in the market for springs and I called Swift about springs for the g37x coupe. The only thing holding back production right now is they need a test vehicle. Leonard literally has a pair sitting on his desk waiting to be tested but he cannot find a vehicle on the west coast that is awd. If you want to test them out please contact Leonard at Swift (909-393-8623). You can be located anywhere, doesn't have to be the west coast. He will ship you the springs, you will need to take measurements. Everything should line up properly, if they dont he will send you a new pair based on the results. Once this test is approved these springs will go into production within a month after. I would take this deal but I wouldn't do the labor myself. The drop is 1.3 F and 1.0 in the rear. I like the option of a more mild drop because of where I drive.

 

wow if someone could get these tested that would be awesome...and a game changer.

That is so close to eibach what would be the point? I would actually like to see a milder drop. Something like 1.0 front and .5 rear.

 

Eibach is 1.9 in front and 1.6 in rear. Might make a difference for some. Also nice to have more options and some competition.

 

I would absolutely do this if I wouldn't have to pay to install the springs.

 

Same man, if someone could install it themselves or get a cheap quote its a no-brainier.

 

The other thing is if you can get a good price to install them then it's absolutely worth it. Here's how I figure...if you buy any other springs then you pay for springs and installation. If you get an install price about the cost of some other springs like say the Eibach then even installing these twice makes them worth it. That's what I'm currently trying to find. If I find a place with such a good price then I'll go for it.

I mean they're free springs and you get to help us x coupe guys have another option out there.

If I had a coupe, I'd do it.
I haven't looked over the diy, but I've replaced springs before on another car, and I have a spring compressor and impact wrench.

Indeed...but what is that risk? What's the implications here if they're not perfect? Does it ride too low? Does it simply not fit?

That they would not fit or the drop is not as advertised i guess..

 

So then you send them back, and when they revise, you get to try the next set. I would assume once finalized, you end up with a free set of springs.

 

Yeah in the end you would have a free set of springs. He said very rarely do they not fit the first time. Worst case you send them back if the measurements are off and he sends you a revised pair. So as far as parts are concerned you get a free set.
